What's On Your Computer

I bet there are some out there, that didn’t read last week’s interview with Tim Ferriss, author of “The 4-Hour Workweek”, but fear not you can still read the interview. This week I’m asking Paula Neal Mooney to Show Me Your Desktop. Paula runs several really interesting blog. On her personal blog, one of the most popular posts are probably the one where bloggers reveal their yearly income, mostly from blogging. She also has a lot of tips about how to make money online and increase your number of readers.

She is also behind the site “Watch Free Episodes”, where you can view episodes or clips from your favourite TV shows.

Without further ado I present to you “Show Me Your Desktop, Paula Neal Mooney”.

What is your background picture?
Let’s see minimize, maximize…it’s just the boring old swirly Gateway blue pic.

Why did you chose that picture?
So busy blogging that I didn’t change it.

If you have a personal and a work computer, which program do you use the most on your personal computer?
My personal is my work computer for now, and I use Blogger, Gmail, WordPress and AOL the most.

Which program do you use the most on your work computer?
Ditto

Internet Explorer or Firefox?
Firefox. I love it. And I love getting a dollar a pop for everyone who downloads it thru my links!

Why do you use Firefox?
Firefox is the bomb. So fast, excellent. I don’t even care that it deletes my bookmarks. It remembers passwords great and I’ll never go back. Never, never, never!!!

What is your favourite program?
Um…like…Word, Excel, etc.

Which program is the worst?
Oh, I’d hate to dog out any programmer. Those guys have kids to go home to.

Do you have any tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your computer or blog?
Firefox, type fast, learn the hot keys, don’t be afraid to change.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions, Paula. I never thought about that programmers have kids to go home to too

There is a little voyeur in all of us

As long as it remains as innocent as this, we should be alright BB

  3. Paula Mooney Says:

    Hello again, Dennis.

Thanks for the interview. It sounds like a great series — wonderful idea you’ve got going there.

Hope ShoeMoney and Darren Rowse and John Chow and all those guys are next.

And yeah, I’ve worked closely with a lot of developers so I always see the human side of how much hours those guys put in — I’ve got a lot of respect for techies!

Paula: I’ve contacted the guys you mentioned once, but I’ll give them a try again.
