What’s Going On Before iForum Kick-off

I’m in Las Vegas at the moment attending the Citrix iForum. I’ve been fortunate enough to be selected as an official Citrix Community Blogger. I’ll post the articles here every day. Let me know what you think.
After about 24 hours of traveling we finally landed Friday night. The usual flight delays and hotel reservation mixups extended the trip. After a few hours of sleep, I couldn’t sleep much more, so I was hoping THE hotel’s info channel could help me sleep. It couldn’t, but I saw something interesting. Three of the convention rooms were already occupied by Citrix, one of them is the press center. I decided to go and check out the convention area. The place is huge. Walking around in the convention area I felt like a child. Everything was big, the mirrors on the wall, the pot with the plants, the trash cans, the chair and about 6 meters (20 ft) to the ceiling. Unfortunately the press center wasn’t opened yet and I didn’t want to interrupt the official Citrix lunch.
However another expo was already there. If you can guess what it’s about I’ll buy you a beer. Let me give you a few hints, they read magazines like ”Stone World”, “Surface Fabrication”, “StoneDimensions” and own a ”Marple Institute of America” membership. Yes, it’s the StonExpo 2007. Unfortunately I wasn’t registered, so I couldn’t see the exhibit. I would really like to know what is going on behind the walls of stone professionals.
The StonExpo ends today (Saturday), so everything should be clear for Monday, but if you find a small piece of marble, you now know why.

New on this forum, not sure where to put this, you seem up on your tech companies: Radical Spark (www.radicalspark.com) is claiming to have this revolutionary web app, very cool app, I hear people talking about it at conferences and such, speculating. I talked with a developer at the Ruby East conf. (speaking of conferences) who said he was working on something *really* cool and I’m very curious as to what this is… Any idea what these folks are up to? Are they in Vegas? Thanks much.
I checked their official site to try to cheat *gasp*
but couldn’t find any events before oct 22. Kinda funny how everything was super sized there…I enjoy watching vids on Ted.com and this sounds like about the same thing; people and technology moving forward. Hope it all went/going well
Argh, why can’t travel ever go smoothly? EVER? Sorry about the hassles, but I hope you have a good time at the convention. I love the “StonExpo” name, that’s so Web 2.0.
