I”ve previously written about several highly addictive free online games.

Now I have gathered the Top 6 most addictive, dangerous, time consuming and free games.

6. Weewar – This is a turn based game. Any player can start a game, first by choosing from a number of terrains and then inviting other players. You take over factories and set them to produce more armies, tanks, etc., which then move on to take over yet more factories or battle other players. Not everyone has to be around at the same time to play the game. You have your turn, and then the next player is notified by email that it is their turn. (This is still in beta.)

5. Grand Strategy – Again a turn based game inspired by Risk, where the object is simple: eliminate your opponents and achieve global domination! It is an advanced version of Weewar.

4. gpokr – Multiplayer no limit Texas Holdem game developed with Ajax technologies. It features real time chat, but no real money.

3. SinkMyShip – The classic Battleship game with real life chat and you can play against others.

2. kdice – A lot like the Risk board game, although the games go very quickly. Like gpokr this is created in Google Webkit.

1. Desktop Tower Defense – There is a reason why this is number 1. Do NOT click the link if you don’t have the time. Enemies come at you in a highly predictable way. You build defenses that take them out. If any get through, you lose a life. I’ve gotten to level 64.
