The Lazy Man’s Way to Increase Blog Traffic

Blogging, Linking

Are you interested in trying out a little experiment?

Mack Collier from The Viral Garden started an experiment in December last year. He created a “Z-list” for all the little known blogs as opposed to the “A-list” with all the pro-blogs. I wonder if it is still working… I will find out within the next couple of days.
The idea is that participants joining the Z list meme will have to copy and paste a list of blogs, while including any new blogs on the list that they feel should get the exposure they deserve. The list should give you backlinks and traffic. Another benefit is that you will discover new blogs too.

Additionally you will get these benefits:

  • You’ll help the blogs you like get some much needed exposure
  • You’ll get a higher Technorati ranking
  • You’ll get new readers and potential RSS subscribers
  • You’ll most likely increase your blog’s Google Page Rank
  • You’ll get some incoming links and traffic

Here is what you should do to get advantage of the meme list:

Create a new post on your blog.

  1. Copy and Paste the entire list of blog links below
  2. Add any blogs that you want to include near the top of the list
  3. Include the blog where you first got the list from, on the list in your post
  4. Do not include your own blog links on the list in your post
  5. Make sure that all links point to each blog’s homepage
  6. Publish the post
