Blogging

It is meme time again. Don’t worry I am not making this into a habit. I just thought it would be interesting to follow David Airey’s great idea – The Face Behind the Blog-initiative. Besides it is all Wendy Piersall’s fault. No more excuses – here we go:

We’ll start out with a picture from our wedding September last year:

This one is from our honeymoon to the United States. Last time we were there we drove from Las Vegas to Chicago, but this time we took a short trip from San Francisco to Eureka then to L.A and ended up in Las Vegas. This one is from Six Flags outside of L.A. What a huge disappointment.

Here we are on Route 66 in Bagdad Café.

I am a movie freak so of course we went to the cinema too. Every thing is bigger over there…

Last summer playing croquet and drinking beer in our backyard with some of my best friends. We do that every year. and we’ll do it next Saturday when Denmark is playing Sweden (our arch-enemy) to qualify for the European Chamionship in the REAL football (soccer).

Unfortunately, my wife has forbidden me to show you any current pictures of her. (She is pregnant and only in her underwear).

  • Hi Dennis! I've changed your old link to the new link! Thanks for informing. Cheers!
  • Thank you very much, Jean. I really appreciate it.
I'll tell my wife. She is two months away from giving birth, so I'm sure she could handle some encouragement ;)
  • Hi Dennis, all done! :)
You and your wife looks so lovey dovey together. And she's beautiful! (Tell her that, will ya!) Hv a nice day! :))
  • Wauw. That was fast! Thank you very much Chinnee :-D
  • I have changed d link for you...wow! u do look great in your wedding!
  • Ah yes. It's because of the move. The pictures are fixed now. Thank you Robyn.
  • Hi, I'm not sure what happened, but when I came to view your photos, they are not showing up.
  • Don
Armen: Thank you very much. I really enjoyed seeing some of the "old" photos again. About Six Flags I think it was because we started out bad. We took this almost ancient rollercoaster made out of wood. I've never felt so uncomfortable before in my life. It literally hurt to drive it, in your back, gut and neck. It was no fun at all getting tossed from side to side, I felt really bad and sore afterwards, so that took the fun out of the rest of the day. No more rollercoasters for me that day.
  • Some cool shots there my friend. I can't believe you didn't enjoy Six Flags though, I thought it was pretty cool.

Looking sharp on your 'Big Day' too I see. Hope everything goes well with the expected arrival of a little one.
  • Don
@Randa: Thank you very much Randa. I also enjoyed reading your post. I really liked the picture of your son and the laptop. ;)

@Rob: Thank you very much for the tip, Rob :-)
  • Great pictures - thanks for sharing them!
  • Hey! I was born in Amarillo! Still have lots of relatives in that area.

If ever back that way during the Summer months, you've definitely got to go to Palo Duro Canyon and watch "Texas." It's a sweeping musical that's performed in a natural ampitheatre in the canyon that depicts the history of the state.
  • Don
@Rob: Thank you very much Rob. We were very close to driving to San Diego, unfortunately we only had 2 weeks over there the last time. I read a lot about San Diego and it sounded like a really interesting place. We'll have to go there the next time. On our first road trip we visited Texas, well Amarillo to be exact, saw the Cadillac Ranch and visited a great steak house.
  • Great pics, Dennis!

Next time you road trip in the U.S., you need to be sure to swing thru my home state of Texas. Lots to see & do here!

And if the majority of what you've seen of California is the L.A. area, you owe it to yourselves to check out San Diego. It's a huge city, yet manages to feel laid back - it's one of our favorite places!
  • Don
@Dee: Thank you very much Dee. It was a great day. Yesterday my wife told me she wanted to get married again ;)
  • Dee
Nice pics .. I specially like your wedding pic, you two make a beautiful couple :)
  • Don
@Jacob: I am having trouble finding pictures where I'm not relaxed ;)
  • Hey nice Pics man :) Now If only I could find some pics where I look relaxed lol
  • Don
@David: As I mentioned on your site, it is a great idea. It is amazing how a few pictures can make you feel more connected to a blogger. For some reason I've never been to Scotland, but the guys (the ones playing croquet) and I are planning a trip, well more of a whisky-trip, there. I think we might try out Islay. Thank you, David for stopping by. I hope to see you again.

@Joe: So Joe...should I tag you or are you going to do it on your own? =P My wife and I travel as much as possible. We are usually on a trip twice a year, but because of her pregnancy it will only be one short trip this year. We are definetly taking another road trip in the US though.

Cool it is great to see the faces behind the sites we frequent often. I haven't ever been overseas been to Canada and Mexico that was many many years ago.
  • You know Dennis, it's funny that this is just my first time visiting your website, but already I feel like I know you more than many of the other sites I visit.

Thanks so much for participating in my little project. I too am a great movie fan, originally from Northern Ireland (where I am at the minute for a week's break) but I live in Edinburgh, Scotland with my wonderful girlfriend, Cat.

    Thanks again buddy.

Also, great that you're a member of the I Follow community! Ditto.
  • Don
I am really glad that I did. I just relived several happy moments.
  • Dennis - I'm so glad you did this! I love getting to know you this way!!! Tell your gorgeous wife congratulations for me and thank you so much for sharing! :)
