A few minutes ago I got an invitation to join the beta test of Spock. Naturally I signed up. I have 3 invitations that I am giving away, but please read this article first.
Let me give you a brief description of Spock.
Spock is the people search engine, you can search for a specific person – nothing new there. More importantly, you can search for a class of person, say actors or politicians or people associated with a topic like Victoria’s Secret (no pun intended Spock developers). Spock created tags for any person it finds from Wikipedia, IMDb.com, forbes.com, people.com, you name it and social networking sites like Myspace, Linkind, Facebook and even the person’s own homepage. Users can also add their own tags and vote on existing tags to strengthen the association between the topics and people.
You can also identify the relationship between people like Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer (co-worker and friend), upload pictures and even add it to your browser’s search bar.
As I mentioned I have 3 invitations that I will send out to the first three regular visitors.
Update: Unfortunately I am all out of invites. If anyone has some please send an invite to the next on the list, who again must invite the next one and so forth.
