I have previously written about Spinlets and I promised I would tell you more once I gained access to the private beta. Well that just happened, so here is a fresh look at Spinlets.com current and future features.
Interested in beta testing?
Let me start out by saying this looks very promising. I know I tend to say that a lot, but I’m a Web 2.0-applications-coholic. I only write about start-ups and betas that make me happy and your day easier or funnier. Anyway Spinlets is still in private beta, but I will still reveal a couple of details. If you are interested in testing Spinlets contact them directly on Spinlets.com.
Spinlet Features
Currently Spinlets features the following:
- Twitter Spinlet (See demo below)
- Craigslist Spinlet
- Digg Spinlet
- Flickr Spinlet
- Google Maps Spinlet
- YouTube Spinlet
I know there is nothing new in a twitter “widget”, but how about a digg Spinlet that shows the hottest and most popular diggs anywhere on your webpage?
It is getting even better. The following Spinlets are on the way:
- Ebay Spinlet
- Facebook Spinlet
- Fark Spinlet
- Zillow Spinlet
The eBay Spinlet has a huge potential. I can show my eBay auctions right on my blog. I really like the thought of that. Some kind of Instant Messaging Spinlet, a sports result Spinlet and a Social Link Networking Spinlet (Technorati and delicious) would be great too. Enough talk let me show you a few:
