Blogging

blast.pngInterested in free online advertising?

Bla.st is a website that help you with that. During the sign up you upload a card, this could a screenshot of your site, logo, a picture of you dog/cat or anything else you think represents you, and that gets the attention of others. (I know what you are thinking and that isn’t allowed, no pictures of rubber chickens with a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle). You tag your site and it is then placed in different categories. You then get the option to pay extra to be the first one in each category. The cards are pay per day to avoid any kind of click fraud.

Now all you have to do is place a widget on your site and watch the readers come running to you. Now if someone was to join Bla.st using my widget or referral link, I get 50% of your payment.

You are welcome Listikal. Yes, though I am still waiting for some traffic from it. Let me know how it works for you.
  • I signed up...thanks for pointing it out, it's very cool.

Wendy: Once I get the widget implemented I'll give it a go and see how it works out. Until now I've had 29 referral clicks since yesterday. I just wish I could see from where they came. The stats are only from bla.st itself.

Tim: Thank you very much for stopping by. I've updated the post accordingly.
I really like the idea. It is a great way to generate traffic.

Hi there, thanks for the review!
One minor correction, the cards are "pay per day" not "pay per click". This way there is no click fraud of any sort.

Wendy, thanks for trying bla.st - unfortunately the front page simply doesn't get a ton of traffic yet, but as the site grows it should become more worthwhile to be on the front page. In the meantime it's best to go for longer term cards.

  • Although I love the concept of this site, I have to say that I paid for higher placement months ago and have had all of 13 referrals in the entire time. Granted, I think I only paid $3 - so it's not like I'm feeling ripped off or anything! ;)
