Are Technorati, EntreCard And StumbleUpon Taking The Day Off?

Current Affairs

I’ve tried to add several blogs to my Technorati favourites today, but every time I get this error message:

On top of that I got the maintenance message from StumbleUpon. I’m rather surprised that StumbleUpon can afford to do maintenance during their peak hours (which must be US-time).

I found it a bit frustrating that I couldn’t submit the super-duper stories I found.

I wonder if the entire blogsphere would collapse and the internet would stand still if Digg did that. On the other hand I think only that would happen if ISPs started to ban porn.

Update: I’m also getting this message from EntreCard:

Entrecard is having technical issues. Any of the following may apply:

* We may be suffering extreme load (lots of people)
* We may be upgrading our server software
* We may be suffering from a serious bug

We have on-call people watching the system, outages are unlikely to last more than 10 minutes. We apologise profusely for the inconvenience.

I think they are drowning in their own success, which is good. I guess the sudden popularity surprised the good folks at Entrecard.
